    Re: New Camera Dilemma

Lot of crop sensor cameras still being made by others so i cant see Nikon dipping out anytime soon, full frame can be an expensive road if you dont need it.

Thanks the z6 & z7 are out with my budget especially factoring in new lenses.

So for me it is between z50 and d7500.

If I was to go z50 with the 2 lenses, are there are recommended places to sell my old gear?

Depending on where you purchase the new camera, etc. you may be able to wheel and deal with them on taking your lenses in some kind of trade. Because you're in Scotland, I wouldn't know where to sell other than something like ebay or local trader site. There are camera stores that do take in used equipment here in the states, ie. B&H or Adorama

Anyone have experience of buying from Panamoz? Just come across the site and the prices seem very good!

If you are looking to buy new, make sure the camera isn't a grey import. If it needs to be repaired for any reason, Nikon won't service grey imports. And be sure it comes with everything that is supposed to be included in the box (details should be listed on Nikon's web site). Some companies will sell the charger separately, etc, making it seem like a good deal until you find out what's missing. I don't know anything about that company so my comment doesn't reflect them.

It isnít likely that the DX format is going away anytime soon. If Nikon is continuing the format in the mirrorless bodies, they apparently think there is a market for more portable and affordable cameras.

Panamoz have a good reputation but as said you get no backup from Nikon uk, your warranty which i think is 3 years is with panamoz only.

The Z50 should be used with the kit lenses if possible because they arr a lot better optically than the lenses you have, it is a lot smaller and lighter than the DSLRs yet delivers really good image quality plus is a better video capture. There is also a clear upgrade path in case you choose to in the future.
