Is that in the Nikon lens line ? The only focal length with that reach that I am aware of is 150 -500 but I certainly don't know all of their lens line. I would certainly LOVE to have that extreme focal length but a bit beyond the budget at this time. But definitely on my wish list. With the DX crop sensor that must be pure bliss. I imagine you get some great shots of some unsuspecting wildlife with that gem. I am pretty certain that the 300 focal length will serve me well for quite awhile. Maybe by the time I get around to adding another zoom lens the price will have dropped on lens in that range.
