Z6III firmware update V2.0

Z6III firmware update V2.0 has been released today. There is a long list of changes including: Added [Birds] to [AF/MF subject detection options] in the photo shooting menu.

I'm sure a lot of Z6iii users have been waiting for this. I know my Z8 didn't focus nearly as well on birds when I accidentally left it in animal detection mode.

Apparently, it now does have the ability to be configured to take a picture while unattended if a set of user defined conditions are met. Still can't get out to the site on its own, however.

My Z8 does my taxes for me. Between this year and next it should save me enough to pay for itself.

After updating the Z6III to 2.0, I tried out the focus limiter and though it worked, I had no image in view finder, only the info bordering the frame. The focus point wouldn’t move, stated my shutter delay was active, and the boxes in my i menu were blank. All the same when I turned off focus limiter option, except the focus limiting was in fact disabled, but the screen stated was still active. No changes when turning off and on the camera. I had to remove battery to fix. I could not duplicate thereafter.
