Here is my Quick Hints for those who want to get started and don't want to wade through the Z50II 896-page manual.

Z50 II QUICK HINTS

TO CHANGE DISPLAYED TIME OF PHOTO REVIEW:

CUSTOM SETTINGS MENU > C Timers AE Lock > C3 Power off delay > Picture review > select from options


TO CHANGE SETTINGS CHOICES in i MENU:

CUSTOM SETTINGS MENU > f Controls > f1 Customize i menu > [select options for 12 settings in i menu]. NOTE: This will change just the
settings choices in the i menu; not the settings.


TO CHANGE SIZE OF FOCUS POINT/AF AREA:

PHOTO SHOOTING MENU > AF-area mode > select from options ; OR: i menu > AF-area mode/subj. detection > AF-area mode > scroll L/R to
select (if i menu has been set up this way)


TO DELETE MULTIPLE PHOTOS:

PLAYBACK MENU > Delete > Selected pictures > [select multiples] > OK > Delete


TO SAVE CROPPED PHOTO:

Select photo using PLAYBACK BUTTON > Crop as desired using Playback zoom in button and multi selector > i menu > Quick crop (if i menu has
been set up this way)


TO CHANGE SETTINGS CHOICES for Fn1 and Fn2 BUTTONS:

CUSTOM SETTINGS MENU > f Controls > f2 Custom controls (shooting) > Fn1 button [select choice]; Fn2 button [select choice]. NOTE: This also
will allow settings changes to other buttons.


TO ENABLE or DISABLE VR (Vibration Reduction):

PHOTO SHOOTING MENU > Vibration reduction> choose options


TO ENABLE or DISABLE TOUCH SHUTTER FEATURE ON MONITOR:


Touch TOUCH SHOOTING icon on monitor > alternate touching of icon will scroll through options


TO REVIEW ALL ICONS IN MONITOR DISPLAY (PHOTO MODE):

INSTRUCTION MANUAL (on-line) > pages 797 – 800


TO CHARGE BATTERY IN CAMERA:

SETUP MENU > USB connection priority > Shooting;

SETUP MENU > USB power delivery > ON

Use Nikon UC-E25 USB C to USB C cable (only) to connect to computer or wall charger;

During charging, amber indicator light near USB port will light; at full charge light will go out.
