Your thoughts on the use of the flag in this photo

Being from the uk I don't see anything wrong with the image to me it shows a sense of pride and love for ones country and child.
As per what is being said with regard to the flag being worn just wondered how it would come across if for instance, in the after math of a disaster and a father needs something warm and dry for his child and the only thing is a flag. Would love to know how that would come across? Just a thought or am I getting too deep with all the hypotheticals

It's different for most of us Euros and that's purely cultural. There are many things in the USA we, at least I, don't "get" and that feel very alien to what I am used to. I've been hanging out there for three months more than a decade ago and was amazed more often than I can remember.

But it works the other way around too. There is plenty we do, or think, that might make someone living in the USA wonder what's wrong with us.
