aww puppies. I love portraits, so it's what I practice most often.

And I use the gorilla noise trick with my animals. Make weird noises and they'll usually sit and look at you. Well, mine usually sit and look at me like I'm an idiot but hey it's something!

While not a great subject or setting, I do believe it shows great color and sharpness. White balance set with my Expodisc. Will add additional info when I can get access to it.

I have just joined the forum today after reading it for about 3 months. Picked up some very useful hints and tips.
I have had a D5100 for about 10 months and I am having great fun with it.:)
Here is my favourite shot during that time.

That shot really shows what a great job experience, the 5100 and a good lens can do, even at 1600 ISO AND 1/4000! Very nice, Phil.

As an idea how about we post our shots from the our D5100's with the lens/settings used and no post editing. That will really show what the camera can do + give others idea's on settings.

All kidding aside, Phil...who or what does the sculptures represent? They look interesting, and curious to know a little about them...

Thanks for the reply, Phil.

Reading the photo's message makes me appreciate even more the 48+ years my wife and I have been blessed with. Very sad times we live in. Glad there are organizations like this.
