I realize this is not a great shot. There was a lightning storm by the time I was able to get everything set up and down to take the photo not only had the lightning moved, but it started to rain so I got this shot off since I could not find the umbrella. After I came in it stopped raining. So I went back outside where I could see the lightning better and it started to rain again. By this time I took it as a sign I should not be out. Then I used the solarization feature in Photoshop to make the shot look more interesting.

Sometimes it seem as if the universe has no intention of letting us get the shot.

July 16. The same thing happened to me that happened on July 10. There was more lightning and it stopped by the time I set up the camera. All I was able to get was the mist from the sprinklers and a moth flying around.

Sorry I did not get back to you sooner on this. It is a glass mug. I just set it on its side and had a soft light behind it. Below is an example of the mug I took the photo of. This photo is of a mug I etched for a student over a year ago. Each year for the holidays I etch something for my students on a mug or bowl.

July 24. Pioneer Day in Utah so fireworks have been going for about an hour. These two shots were right above my house. The neighbors were lighting them off and I was praying they did not have a problem and launch one at my house. Each individual shot it not layered.
