what area of the park where you in? Did you go with a group or on your on?

We are on our own traveling the north road between Mammoth and Cook City. This is the only road open unless you pay to go on a paid tour. On the paid tour they take you to specific places.

Great shots MM and ML, hope to make it up there one of these days.

If you come for scenery or thermals then come in spring summer fall. To shoot animals you want to come in winter.

Pssst, the "Black and White Bird", and the "Duck", are both Common Goldeneyes.

Someone needs a field guide. :)

The real question is... does it taste like chicken?

Serious note. We have a picture of a Golden Eye that has a really high arcing head. This photo the bird has a head like a duck. Are they both Golden Eye's?

Very nice great job.
I saw a video on wildlife photography by Moose Peterson he also said that the best time is the fall and winter to shoot wildlife cause the snow has them migrate down to the lower elevations
where you can see and shoot them.

MoabLady finds out the snow is deep and why she wishes she had her snow shoes.

And then she does her wolf howl impression on all four as she crawls out of the deep snow.
