I think I need to try that. I have a camera just like the one he uses in the film lying around, along with a few old rolls of film. Could be fun :)

Can anyone tell me how long film can take just lying around. Do they get too old?

As I remember, it can lay around for quite some time. Specially if its been in a dark area.

Day 60.

Did a lot of film camera shots, it was so nice and foggy here but cooold. Very exited to see some of them, I shoot against some caps holding still, in this fog, while people walked by. Crossing my fingers I caught what I hoped for.

Happy hound! (Cant hardly wait until weather is okay for starting to grow a new lawn again... and yes. My dogs toys are all over out there..)

Haha and thank you for 100+ likes, Vixen ;)

Day 62, guy who wanted me to take his picture, and a skate-bike-play area. Love the lines all over the places.

Laziness  Didn't open PS.....

Btw, the guy - on his clothes you can see the text HusForbi, its actually a super cool and well done project which lasted for years now and is very popular. If you are homeless, you can sell this paper (called HusForbi = House Over) daily, and they earn some money of it and the rest of the money goes to printing the new paper + administration and so on. The paper is about issues concerning homeless people, and its actually very good reading.

The sellers are always so sweet, not at all pushy, just friendly and if you don't wanna buy it, they still wish you a good day.

Day 63, not the most exiting ever but at least I tried working with the correction tool in LR. Not a perfect job!

The daffodils are interesting. I'm assuming grown indoors maybe and put out when they flower?

Yes! I couldn't get further back (small street, maybe I should have chosen a perspective similar to the first shot), but they caught everybody's attention as they were the only ones :)

Hey so I planned to do a workshop for beginners today (dog photography), got quite a lot of attention. Several wanted to sign up but couldn't on the announced date so maybe I'll make one more..

Ive been thinking about it for a long time now and think I got a setup which will work.

Everybody need to make sure they can import raw files before the class. And bring camera and laptop of course.

We start going through ISO and shutter speed - what they do. Then we go to aperture where we test it right away so they will see the difference between low and high. Thinking to bring some different objects for this.

Some talk about compositions, taking the image in eye hight with the dog, framing without to much "mess" in the background.

Then we set up the cameras for a dog running (I'll bring my youngest) - first just some test shots where the dog is calm, then playing a bit and finally running (if he'll be so kind lol)..

After this, a break, coffee and cake - and then editing the images they got. Just some basic, contrast and so on.
Ill give everybody 10 minutes or so one by one, as they don't use the same programs, those who knows a little more about it can start editing right away, then maybe I can show them a new trick or two, regarding on how they edit.

Does this sound good to you?
Its people who only use automatic settings now and who needs to take it in baby steps - I will print out some of the info before so they'll see it while we talk about it and they have something to bring home, to help them remember..

If anyone can Mai, you can. Your doggie shots are awesome. Sounds like you have a pretty good lesson plan. Just remember to stay flexible and let us know how it goes.

Seems like a great idea Mai, I hope it goes well and that you enjoy meeting these people and helping them around. I'm sure they will find you inspiring and you'll have a great experience. Sometimes while teaching the teacher learns something that he thought he/she had forgotten.
