WTB D5100 body to replace D3000

So, I'm thinking of replacing my D3000 with a D5100. I own a D7100 and a D200 so the D3000 has become somewhat redundant. I'm mainly interested in getting fewer blown out highlights, something my D3000 tends to do more than I'd like. I am looking to spend no more than $250 USD, which is right where they are selling on eBay currently.

So, the two questions I have are:

1. Will the D5100 sensor be better at highlight retention?

2. Any of you looking to make a quick $250?

While the D5100 has an articulating screen, it's a bit dated. Check out the D3300. It takes great photos. About the same price range.

I asked about the D5100, not the D3300.

That was obvious, I was just offering an alternative. Owning both I was offering an educated option.

I moved from a D5100 to the D3300 as a back up camera, and the D3300 runs rings around the D5100 as the sensor is far better.

It's your money spend it as you wish.

Indeed, my money - there's no sign of a D3300 for $250, even if I were interested in it.
