Finally have my 35mm lens and it was an absolute pleasure shooting photos and video with it today.
Congrats on the new lens, good choice! Now where is a photo demonstrating this new lens?
I was surprised about its performance on my D800E. Not bad for a DX lens. Sample shot in DX mode.

Way To Go,Ther's no looking back now. It's prime or nothing LOL,Joe
I see you also use the 18-50 sigma. What would you say is the best part of you new prime 35 vs the 35 range of you sigma? I am also looking at the 35. 1.8 but I need a tele ( at least up to 300mm) for this winter and being on a budget (married...) and having the 18-105 kit lens, I was debating on saving the 200 bucks for the tele. I take quite afew indoor pics of pets and food for my wife's blog/business but she is happy with what I shoot now and honestly I am too but I have only owned my D7000 since may and this is the only lens I have. I know it gets better but I need to prioritize. So, tell me what makes you the most happy about your prime vs the siggy. Thanks.
Same here, my 35 mm 1.8 G is a great landscape lens for me.
Thanks,
Alex

That is most likely a B&W lens filter.

Resting comfortably on my hard drive. I'll process some tomorrow and toss a couple up.
So are you still enjoying your 35mm 1.8? What have you shot the most with it? I have heard a lot of great things about the lens.
You should post some photos you've taken with it!
