I especially like the heron shots, Woody. So how is the Nikon 200-500mm working out for you? If I remember correctly, you were supposed to return the Tamron again. Did I miss any update on that status?

Thanks, Cindy. I often spend hours watching heron.

The Nikon 200-500 is sharper by a significant amount, and seems to focus more accurately. Tamron sent me a replacement lens, and I have not been able to do more than soot a couple of pictures in the back yard so far. I want to give it a fair go to see if my first lens was just a a lemon. Chances are good, though, that I'll sell the Tammy and keep the Nikon.
