Woody, how is the image quality of the D7200 to the D500? I was pleasantly surprised to find I really like my D7200--much more than I ever imagined.

There isn't a lot of difference between the image quality in my D7200 and D500. The D500 has a tad less noise. The D500 tends more toward cooler colors with auto white balance, IME, but I haven't really played around with the fine tuning of auto white balance settings. Honestly, if I took the same picture with my D7100, D7200 and D500 and viewed them from a reasonable distance, I'm pretty sure I couldn't tell any difference.

The place the D500 outshines the D7200 is in performance. Not an issue for landscapes, portraits, etc. Big difference for wildlife, sports, etc.
