Crows were harassing this owl, but she was holding her own just fine. She decided, though, to fly over to the nest and make sure her kids would be safe.
Rain and snow last night, so lots of wet owls. I finally got a shot of all four babies in this nest. It was before sunrise and still really dark, but I got them all.
Went to the very eastern regions of Colorado to photograph Greater Prairie Chickens yesterday. The males are fighting for the attention of the females. This guy took a solid shot to the body.
