This Snowy Egret spotted a small fish as he took off, so he reached down and grabbed it, then went on his way. You might be able to see the little fish in the bird's beak in the last shot.
Ugly, rusty inlet churns up the water and stirs up food for fish, which provides a fish buffet for the Snowy Egret. The bird probably doesn't care about the ugly metal inlet channel.
A recently fledged Pygmy Nuthatch. This tea cup sized ball of energy was trying to hunt on its own, but was also calling out to its parents for food. It's the awkward tween age for this little one.
