The more I look at your shots the more I'm thinking of getting that lens
If you pick up a good used one, you can certainly turn around and sell it with little or no loss if you decide it isn't for you.
You might miss the versatility of the zoom you have with the Sigma, but I always carry my D7200 with a 70-300 so I can make a quick change if I need to.
Lots of options out there, and they ALL cost money!

Hand held, Roy. I was planning on bird shots, but the birds weren't cooperating and the bugs were.
Very nice when it works though
