A few months ago I purchased this remote to work with my Nikon D800. It worked fine. I just recently pulled it out today. I am unable to get it to work. On my Nikon D80 I had to make a change to use it with a wireless remote. What changes if any in the menu or else where do I need to make for the remote to work.

Thanks in advance.

Have you checked or changed the batteries?

Yep. I must have left it on when I last used it. As I stated earlier I had to change the settings on my Nikon D80 in order to use the wireless remote. I had only used it a couple of times.

Thanks again.

These should be two different remote controls for the D800and D80. What kind where you using for the D800?

I used the "Oppilas" brand wireless remote control on my "old" 800E, if that's any help. It's a generic brand remote that I picked up in my local camera store. The main unit sits in the hot shoe and has a ten pin lead that plugs into the side of the camera.
The "remote" part is quite small & lightweight (fits in my hand easily)and it works a treat.

cheers
