Geek Squad technicians blame lack of Nikon Win 10 compatible firmware. I cannot download photographs to my new Dell Win 10 desktop for editing. I cannot get the "camera" prompt. I cannot download with a new "label" due to no pop

Your post is a little shy on details, and by a little I mean "a lot"... Like what camera you have. By "pop" I assume you mean Windows is not recognizing your camera when connected via the USB cable? I'm assuming your camera has a removable media card, though? Instead of downloading your photos using the cable, use a media-card reader instead.
