Not only is the D600 superior in every technical aspect, it's much easier to shoot with (once you learn it). Two command wheels, dials and buttons for almost everything You can switch Auto ISO off and on by pressing the ISO button and rotating the front command wheel, for example. Try doing the same thing on your 5100 (or my 7000)! If you can afford it, buy it. But have some money available for lenses.
