hard to believe that year 3 is nearing Mid point already, this weekend, I was in the city, and so,, had my D800
and 2 lens, the 24-85,, and my 80-400,, which is my favorite on the go combo. The 24-85,, because it is so
flexible, and light, and the large zoom, well because it is so flexible and compact (the older one)
I love city moments, they are so spontaneous such as
Taken with the 24-85, and of course, one shot, one moment, all you have time for, with her red boots, bags, yellow coat which helps tie in the back
signs, and the Red posts, its a combination that I really liked, and it was just a one in a chance time moment.
can also find nature in the city,, such as
Taken with the 80-400 lens, I walk around with a small camel backpack (the one that people use for carrying water on their
back, but, I find it the perfect bag to carry the tele, easy to swing around and toss the larger lens on the camera, tossing
the other lens back into the little bag.
This combo I have found to be perfect, Yes,, I love the 14-24,, but its bulky, and delicate. I find on a Full frame, the 24 to be wide
enough in most cases, and can always take a side by side shot, and merge later if need wider.
