I rarely get out my manuals anymore,, mmm I wonder where I placed them,
but,, I am wondering,,, how to orientate the camera when using the auto clean,,
all these years, I hold the camera in the upright position,, like taking a picture,, figuring the
dust will settle on the bottom,, but,,,
is this right,, should instead it point down,,, since that is the direction of the sensor,, so the dust will
fall into the shutter area,,
I did a quick google search, but all the information is more on the manual cleaning with the
mirror up stuff,,
interesting,, I don't remember the manual really saying.... so,, wonder what other Nikonites
do,, do you hold like shooting a picture,, or do you point the lens to the table?
I am nearing the need of a professional clean,, almost 2 years now! and not yet
a professional cleaning,, definitely due for one,,, I am lucky to have a pro shop
in town for the cleaning,, about 90 dollars or so... but once every 2 years for a
splotless sensor is worth the cost.
anyway,, I am off to do some shooting.. with or without the spots.
