Always amazed me how long some of the inventory lasts, like the D90 was sold a long time past its production runs,
now its the D7000 camera, long replaced with the 7100,, and the final fire sales are occurring this week.
See it on Amazon for 699 dollars, a real real bargain. I really like the 7000, and for that price, a great camera
for anyone that has say a 3000 or 5000 series that wants to move up to a camera with more features and
dedicated buttons.
Trust me,,, dedicated buttons are GREAT,, so much easier than menu,, plus, I really like the dedicated control dials for
speed and aperture .
Now if the would ever have fire sale on the D800e,, hah, not likely, Their was NEVER a fire sale on the D700,, the opposite
happened the price actually rose to crazy levels as the inventory got scarce. I don't think Nikon will ever have a camera that
has such a following and dedication as the D700.
But anyhow,, if want a solid, great SLR in a nice form factor with 16 Meg sensor (a very fine sensor by the way), a great
catch at $699.
