only carry two lens, these old primes make the D800 so much easier to carry, and when it is 10 degrees,
the old lens work great. And easy to keep one lens in a outside pocket (to keep it from fogging, keep it in an outside pocket, an one on the camera, swap if needed.
Batteries drain fast in the cold, so,, I just use the camera as a light meter, and shutter, no live view, no auto focus, etc.
