plugging away with my photo edits from the wedding trip, about 1/3 thru, I am usually the secondary wedding photographer and not the primary,, big difference...
when secondary or doing my normal photo shoots, I can cherry pick and edit only a few, but not for this wedding, just about every shot was a keeper, so many, in the moments, so many more shots to grab.
pretty happy with the results, and know the bride/groom will be thrilled. A relief when you get back and see that the shots worked, since this is not something one can repeat.
bottom line, I can better appreciate the cost/value of this activity, charging 1500-2000 is not expensive, when you figure in so so many hours, but, lately, people just dont neccessary want pay anymore.
Still can't replace the value that stills bring to keeping a memory alive, and these photos will live on as precious memories of their fabric of life.
Course, now, I have other "future" brides trying to line me up,, but,, nah... but, mmm
1500 dollars,, of course once I say that,,, they might not be as interested.
and I don't even know anymore the going rate? seems to me 2500 would be closer to the real price.
