So, much different between photo editing for landscape/shoots versus the wedding,
For landscape and normal days, I can cherry pick, and pull out a scattering of shots, and edit away, so typically the editing overhead is not that hight.
but, with weddings, it was important to make every shot count, and literaly take hundreds of photos. So, the cherry picking method just does not work, but instead, it is walk thru the
entire set, and edit away.
I did of course start with some cherry picking tease edits, but now, I have to roll up the sleave, and start the process. And of course, since it was a destination weddings, I have candids leading up to the event, along with excursions with the group after the wedding, so, talking about over a 1000 shots to edit.
The real bottleneck is the opening of the file.. darn that is slow, along with the savings out, most of the editing is very quick.
Yes, I understand the concept of scripting, but, I guess I am not consistant enough of a photographer that the same script would get much use, I end up wanting to tweak every shot a bit.
So,, I will make a goal of a week,, mmm got to take a trip this Friday, Usually I drive, but,, as a passenger, I could get a nice 4 hour block of editing in.
