Ah, so the latest camera analyzes the frame, drawing thirds,, has arrows of how to improve your composition, HDR the Raws, creates perfect images, saves the data for easy edits, oh,wait,, darn,, April fools thread...

actually, sometimes I do wonder if the phones are getting so good that eventually the fun will be taken out of photography, technology has a way of removing the fun from tasks thru automation, such that eventually the task is mundane.

Take for example cars, remove the clutch, take over the stearing, etc etc, and eventually, we will be just passengers.

I suppose photography will be exempt, there will always be the human eye that sees something that no machine ever will...I hope.

Ah yes, but there will always still be my "thinking man's" cameras, both of which require no batteries to run and are still seeing as much use as I can get out of them. I just found out that Kodak DOES make TMAX-100 in 100 foot rolls in 35mm. It runs a little less than TX, at about $78 for a 100 foot roll. That ought to last me a year or two!

in the days where there was no room for error

But in my opinion at least, the days when people had a much better fundamental understanding of the photographic process from beginning to end. The days were there was no such thing as an LCD preview. The preview was in your head and you had to have a much better mastery of the mechanics of exposure to feel confident that what was in your "mind's eye" would translate to the paper.
