I have started the photo picking/editing stage of the trip,, I started mostly with the people shots, and a few of the buildings/landscapes, and keep diving into the folders.
I personally don't start at A and go to Z,, but tend to jump around a lot when picking which photo to edit, maybe it is to keep it interesting. Plowing thru 200 landscapes in a row would become tedious.
This stage of my editing is very light, I am picking pictures that are basically ok right out of the chute, cleaning up some dust spots, tweaking the curves or levels just abit, horizan corrections, and mostly cropping is the primary edit.
I try with the D800 to leave a bit more space if possible then my previous cameras. The D800 has enough pixels to allow for me about up to 30-40% crop off and still maintain a high pixel density image. This gives me more compositional options for placement. Primary object to centered, no problem, shift left right,, a bit up, or down,, so glad when you have a bit of flexibility.
