My nephew is in seven heaven with the D7000 and his new 70-200 2.8 VRII lens, and I am like wow, such a package for a 16 year old! but he does work, and paid for the lens, so, more power to him,
So,, I get to enjoy his progress, and continue to offer up gentle suggestions/hints, but got to say,, he is making gains with leaps and bounds.
and, I notice his eyes opening up to the world around him, what with birds nesting to interesting flowers. to even simple rabbits in the lawn, and a whole
lot more..
which is what I think is one of the fundmental gains of becoming a photographer, the opening if the eyes, so many of his generation are lost in game systems, and their faces locked onto the smart phone, and here he is walking around... Looking at the world around him!.
so,, I strongly encourage you to pass the torch (well,, like my father 40 years ago... (laughs, dang).
