I'm thinking of blowing up one of these two shots. I'm not sure which, or maybe neither. Whatcha think?

If I was to blow one of these up, then it would be the first one. After I photoshopped the plane out of it, and got rid of that blue haze.
I would actually like the second shot more, if it wasn't for the fact that the top of the tree got cut off.

I prefer the second one but there's something you need to keep in mind if you choose this one. If you are going to mat it and/or place it in a frame, you will lose a little of the photo around the edges. That is going to hurt the bottom because it will get cut off. If you are going to print it as a poster, it shouldn't make a difference unless you use a poster frame. Just something to think about. :)

Nations has something called the "Standout" it really looks great hanging on a wall. I have a tiger print in 20x30 in a standout and I get all sorts of comments on it when people see it. I like the black standout best.

Hark makes a great point. When I want to save the edges I increase the canvas size to create a border for the matting process. Then with careful alignment you could matte the image without losing anything off the bottom.

I used a black boarder on the spider shot I blew up to 20" x 30" and a gator board backing to help protect it from accidental bends or creases. It looks awesome!

I prefer your first shot. :)

Good thinking Hark. Actually I have another shot that has more foreground but cuts off more of the tree...

Nations seems to do a really good job. I'll look into the Standout..Is the 20x30 a good size?.Thanks!

Since you have two photos, you do have the option to merge them together. I did a quick edit by starting with the original then extended the bottom of the canvas. Then I cropped the second photo by selecting the bottom part with the walkway and grass, then pasted it onto the extended canvas of the first image. It took a little work to blend the sidewalk area, but it should work if you try it. They didn't quite line up as you can tell from your watermark so I had to use the healing brush to copy some of the grass and asphalt on the lower right hand side.

From here the image can be cropped lengthwise to add a little more to the bottom.

I like the first, which would display on a wall nicely, but I would tighten the crop, both for the plane and to push the interest a bit and tone down the blue (I've taken the liberty)

A 20" x 30" is pretty large and not real cheap, so I would only recommend this size or larger if you are loving the shot and don't mind taking up that much wall space for one photo. For a normal shot you like and want a print of, I'd recommend a 16" x 20" or similar size that avoids too much cropping for printing. It is large enough to make for easy viewing, but small enough you won't take up too much wall space for when you want to add other prints to the first one. :)

I already took the plane out and reduced some of the over bearing blues. Do you mind if I post the results?
Of course not, I would appreciate it. What is the best way to Photoshop out the blue haze? I'm still learning my way in the program. Thanks!

Nicely done..Would you mind telling me how you went about toning it down, I'd like to experiment with it a bit...Thanks!

Find out what format you want and see what cropping the photo needs to look its best and go from there.
I agree...20x30 is rather large..And expensive..I also want to experiment with the photo's composition and coloring before I print to such a large size...Thanks for your input Don
