Which D3200?

I've been looking to buy my first DSLR and have decided that the Nikon D3200 is in my price range and a really good first camera. I've seem a couple of bundles that I'd like your opinions on please. The 1st is for sale at Currys for £339, has a Nikon 18-55mm lens (no vr) and a Nikon 55-200mm telephoto zoom lens

The 2nd is for sale at Jessops and is priced at £369. This one has A Nikon 18-55mm VR II lens and A 70-300mm Tamron lens.

Simple question is which should I go for?

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I checked both ads and what I find strange is that the one with the Tamron is very vague when it comes to that lens. In the images it is pushed in the background and I can't find any description saying more than Tamron 70-300mm. Maybe it's there but I don't find it.

I know Tamron had more models of the 70-300mm and one of them is AF. I'm not sure if that would autofocus on the D3200. Maybe someone else can enlighten you (and me).

I just checked. I actually have that lens but I only used it for a while and it has been collecting dust since. If I remember well it wasn't a bad lens. A bit slow to auto-focus, a bit too lightly build and the macro was almost macro. But all in all for the little money it did cost me, it wasn't bad.

How it compares to the 55-200mm I wouldn't know but I suspect that one to be somewhat better.

I just checked DxOmark and the difference in sharpness is not worth picking the one over the other for.
