All of my bags have a lot of free air in them.

As to the cheapest item that has actually cost me money in each bag?

DSLR kit: Reusable twist-tie used to manage wired remote cord.
35mm film kit: Any of a number of 52mm filters.
RB67 kit: A roll of Ilford 120 film
4x5 kit: 3' tape measure used for calculating exposure compensation for bellows extension.

Garbage bags as well. Three to be exact. One as a rain cover for my camera bag in the event of a total downpour. Another as a poncho for myself. And the last is a spare.

This lens cloth in a cool little 'lens' colder with lanyard. It was a freebie one time when I visited my local camera store.

Silica Gel packets to keep the moisture levels under control, JIC. They come in so many things, these days, so I always snarf a few and throw 'em into the bag.

An ordinary seven-eleven plastic bag. Sometimes I just take my camera out of the car and the plastic bag. In case it starts to rain. So I can keep the cam in it.

Either the rubber band used to removed stuck filters or the baggie used to hold the lens and body caps.

I have a little Nikon pouch that I picked up out of the bargain bin at the (sort of)local ProCam. It was $1.00, and is the perfect size to hold four of the batteries for my D700.
