What are you listening too right now....

You had me spinning my wheels there! LOVE this song, but I had never heard this instrumental version before. Didn't do boxing movies, either. But I heard this on WTLC while in my 2nd year of college. That jazz show was the best class I had that year. Gotta put that on my "phone".

I've been working through a massive pile of dying audio cassettes I recorded from various rock radio stations in IL, TN, NJ and AL from '72 to '84 and trying to identify the songs for MP3s. It's been a lot of fun compiling the bands and song names, but the instrumentals are tough. My kid has a cell phone app that listens to and identifies songs and it's been an amazing ally for my efforts. So far I have only two songs I can't identify, both taped from a college radio station and are probably quite obscure.

At least once a week I revisit this blast from the past. 1968 version of Buffy Sainte-Marie's album, "I want to be a country girl again". What a voice, and I understand that after a long hiatus she is touring once again.

Anything classic rock (Zeppelin being my favorite)..........although I won't shy away from Metallica, Tool, grunge (my era), etc.
Admittedly, I had a lot of Christmas music on lately LOL!

Oh, I think I'm different. Brahms - Piano Quartet No. 3 in C minor, Op. 60. Played by Beaux Arts Trio.

I like it more than Hotel California.

All their stuff is good. The Long Run and Live '80, both Greatest Hits, but Desperado stands out there.

Anytime you can hit play on an album, crank it up and feel no need to skip a track, even after several thousand plays, that's usually a sign it's good.
