What are you giving your significant other(s) for Christmas?

Since Christmas is only a few days away and many of us are still looking for gifts and gift ideas, I thought it would be nice to see what that one "special" gift others are giving for their significant other.

The wife and I don't do the "big" Christmas present thing, instead we try to find that one thing the other wants but doesn't really know it and the less expensive it is, the better. So this year my big surprise this year is a lock-picking set and a couple books on lock picking. Whenever we see a lock being picked on TV, she'll mention how much she wishes she knew how to do that and how it can't possibly be as easy as they make it look. I'm pretty stoked about it because it's something she really wants and truly doesn't expect to be getting.

Okay, now it's your turn - what is your one special gift for that one (or two?) special people in your life?

Mine is always kinda expensive and it will make most people say "you spent that much money?"!

We tend to spoil both of our kids every Christmas and spend less for us except for this year. We bought ourselves our retirement gifts since I will be retiring in 9 months. Not camera related but I could have had a D4 instead but my ministry of finance opposed anything that is photography related.

Yes, me and my wife fall in the same category. We don't do a lot for each other for Christmas because when we need something we just go out and get it. Although
this year I got a puppy for the whole family. It's part German shepard and Black Lab. Hopefully she will be quiet In the box till the boy's open it.

Same here, mainly for the kids. I did replace the diamond in her ring and she let me buy the D600. Which this is the case for most years, we combine Christmas, anniversary, birthdays into a big gift throughout the year when we want. I get more enjoyment watching the kids and spending time with the family than I do opening gifts.

Slippers! Somewhat like these: slippers - just more man'ish, lol. No flowers at least.

Sometimes we give each other big presents, sometimes small. But I think its nice to do, I mean, who doesn't like presents? (I LOOOOVE presents!)

We get each other hugs. haha. After being together almost 10 years, we gave up trying to get each other something that we want. lol. We have each other. :) But we're going on a cruise in Feb, so we spent all our (my) money on that. haha.

Luckily my wife is not a "thing" person, so we focus on my son and me :). I'll get her some obscure surprises she doesn't expect and have fun with odd things in her stocking. From there it will be gift cards for shoes/clothing.

My wife decided she wanted birds. So she is getting a nice size flight cage big enough for 5 parakeets to fly and have fun in. We can't get the birds till after Christmas and the new room is finished and we get back home from visiting family.

After I've bought myself a D7100 a couple of weeks ago without any good reason (at least no reason my wive would understand) I got her a small piece of jewellery in the shape of a small bat. She loves that kind of stuff and my investment will be approved so much faster :)

Christmas is not that important here in Thailand especially for my beloved ones. O.K. My daughter will get something she wants as we listened through her during years wishlist and we sure she hasn't got any clue she gets.

This means our Christmas gift is looking in the eyes of our daughter when she gets some surprise presents.

For me it's books and comedy show tickets (3) that we will attend together. We spoil ourselves year long so we're not going out of our minds for X-mas.
