Thank you -- I appreciate that. They are quite fast and erratic fliers and when I finally do catch up, they cross in front of the trees and I lose focus. Oddly, though the body is set to focus release only, it fires away at will. I have called Nikon several times, but haven't been able to talk to anyone with a clue.

Turtles may be worse at picking nesting sites than hummingbirds. This one was laying eggs in the middle of a trail
