The Santa Ana winds are in full force today. Went to the department and found one of our hawks up in the big tipu tree

While cricking my neck trying to shot the hawk, I spotted a red-head hybrid sapsucker -- maybe the same one I saw at Craig Park last month. Unfortunately, it kept circling around the limbs, which were bouncing in the wind, so couldn't get a real good shot

More of the same, but I did see a rare visitor in north county -- a female kestrel. She was going from tree to tree with only a quick look around, so I couldn't get close
