23 March

Just a walk about the neighborhood today while my wife was in the dentist's, so an eclectic mix.

I was standing under a power pole when I noticed a little head poking out of the junction box

Do you need a license to stuff one? Because the one does not look too lively.

I believe that is leftn to the owner's discretion. There are two main schools -- stuff/inflate. The former seems the more popular, but the later does give a more natural look in the breeze and handy if you want to take it for a swim in the pool.

I have a friend that despises flamingo lawn ornaments, so, of course, every year I find a new one and stick it on her lawn when she is not at home. I have never had an inflatable one so i think i need to find one this year. She will be so pleased. I am not the only one who decorates her lawn but she invariably blames me, so why not.

She would hate to live in Spanish Town in Baton Rouge. The Pink Flamingo is the mascot, and just about every house in the neighborhood has one or flamingo lawn ornaments in the yard. They throw a fantastic Mardi Gras parade every year.

In October, put a skellymingo in her yard. It is black with a flamingo skeleton painted on it.

Back to your regularly scheduled thread.
