Driven from my normal spots by the damn pokieheads, I hid out in the desert cacti garden where folks quickly discover that wandering about while staring at a phone is not a good idea. I found some hummers there who were also looking for some peace and quiet. Apparently, I was the lesser of two evils, as they were quite accommodating.
Just might be -- it was about 2 1/2" long and the barbs at the leg ends were needle sharp, which I discovered when I tried to pick it up to bring home. It stayed behind.
