Had to hang out waiting for some contractors, so it's visitors to the front yard today

I decided to give BBF a try again. I shot twice as many images as usual and ended up with 36 keepers (and some of those are a stretch), which is an average day. I think I will go back to normal focus.

A Cooper's hawk landed in a tree right in front of me -- wish he'd picked a sunnier spot

I ran across him again up in a big ficus

I chased this Nuttel's around and around the tree trying to get a shot

Tried one with the flash -- don't like it.

I see what you mean @wev. I, too, seldom use flash. There are times it is necessary and even desirable, but I use it very sparingly.

@wev i have been trying my sb700 with the plastic diffuser down, the green diffuser on top of that and been getting better results than with just the flash.
