Nice capture against a difficult back ground. That Tammy surely is sharp but if you had not nailed the focus you could have well just had a green blob.

I shot it wondering if it would work, hoping the burgundy edging on the flower would be enough. The Tams, large and small, do make me look a lot better than I feel I am sometimes.

AF, which I use most of the time taking flowers and such -- not steady enough with just camera in hand.

Supposed to have rain today, but there is nary a serious cloud to be seen. Off to the lake.

Came across a pair of killdeer dancing about and making a racket.

Finally spotted the reason for the agitation -- a downy chick who had wandered away

Last time it was a mess of Cassin's kingbirds; today it was western

I just couldn't lock focus on this swallow, but I spotted its nest, so maybe I can get a better shot next time
