Tomorrow is the first day of our three day tomato sale at the department. We grew around 8,000 plants this year in 119 varieties, along with another 2,000 hot and sweet peppers. Spent today clearing the nursery, laying out tables, and moving 210 flats into place. I will be lucky if I can walk tomorrow, let alone take a picture.

Went out this morning and discovered some parrots hanging out on the phone line, enjoying the sunrise

what a difference a few miles make :), the master gardeners here in yakima will have their plant sale in late april. Frost damage can still occur into mid may.

Stopped off at the lake for a quiet walk to stretch out my back before day two of the sale. The heat was already up by 8:00 and the birds were trying to stay cool in the trees.
