Crazy hectic day driving back and forth in town sending the 5200 in for repairs and an eye exam to replace my broken glasses And work, of course. That said, had a great first of the season visitor at the department this morning. A hooded oriorle came by to check things out, but didn't stay long with all the traffic noice and those pesky students milling about. I only managed two not so good shots before he was off.

A very hard morning. Our feral cat was taken this morning by a coyote. On a happier note, I got a picture of a rare dusky-capped flycatcher that shouldn't be here, its normal range being Arizona and New Mexico. Not the greatest capture, but it is a fast mover and like all flycatchers, seldom pauses when the bugs are out

Feeling a little brighter today. Got a kick out of a orange crested warbler getting its morning washup by bouncing about in the freshly watered silver leaf
