If you are eating dinner, please don't follow this part of my thread. You may never want to look at this story.

It's Friday Night, and we are hungry, with little food in the house because tomorrow is shopping day. So we open a can of soup.

I wasn't sure what to do with it. Emailing them the photos is a great idea. I posted it on Facebook also. Maybe THEY will contact me!! LOL

I use to know a few people who worked at their factory here in Ohio. So while I was joking....at the same time I wasn't. This is why I make my own soups now. Essence of field mouse is not a flavor I dig.

I can remember studying the "pure foods act" in domestic science at high school. You wouldn't eat most foods if you realised just what animal bits are allowed per pound/kilo :( Doesn't stop me tho, what I can't see can't harm me :D but finding that chunk of mouse or whatever Wendy would have probably have had me vomiting back into the soup bowl :D )

Exactly Vixen. I was so nauseous and when I think about I still get nauseous. I am sure that Campbell's will not be in my kitchen again. Nor will it be in my family's kitchen. :sour:

Wasatch Mountains from the air 3.jpg
Day 88/365 THE most difficult shot I have ever gotten. This is the Wasatch Mountains from the air. I got the chance to go up in a small Cessna Plane today. There is a herd of Elk down there. I wish it were more sharp, but when you are being thrown around the plane's cabin it gets kind of hard to get a good shot. Even though it isn't terribly sharp, I still think it is a beautiful shot.

I think it's a beautiful shot too, and lucky you, to get a plane ride :D

I agree - I love the shot of the herd of Elks!! Having flown in small planes I can imagine how difficult it must have been so that is a great result.

Poor little mouse landing up in the soup!

Thanks Vixen, and Lawrence, It was a wonderful experience riding in the plane, I got to be up for 2 hours. It was amazing that I got the chance to go. It was my first time in a small plane.
Here is a tip for all of you Nikonites, if you are riding in a small plane and doing photography, DON'T try to look through the eyepeice to get your shots. It will make you disoriented and sick. I had to put the camera down for a while and then get my shots with the display.
I got lots more shots but I haven't processed them yet. I'll post the good ones when I get them done.

It is so much fun to try new things. Thanks for the tips and techniques. I used a clear tray and some double sided clear tape on this shot. Other than that the set up is the same as yours. I am not sure about my lighting. What do you think?

I'm thinking you had as much trouble getting the light right as I did :D coz you also got light bouncing back off the glasses :D THAT part of it I found frustrating!! But I think you were game trusting double sided tape. I had my glass bases strapped down with layers of wide packaging tape.... and they still moved slightly when I put the water in the glasses!!

My glasses are really small ones. So there was less water weight. But the glass on the right did move a bit.
Yes, that lighting is a hard one. I did as you suggested, I tried to light it from above. However that makes the reflection look strange.

I am going to experiment more with it though. You will have to tell me how you did the apple it's fabulous.

Hey there is a good idea! My tray is clear so I should get some nice light, I'm going to try that, thanks Doug.
