Deer at Sunset.jpg
Day 55 February 24, 2014
It was a tough day, so I wasn't in a great mood until I went out to find my shot(s) for the day. I got lost in an industrial area and to my surprise there was a herd of deer at sunset. I know that the lighting is not perfect. I still have a lot to learn. However, these shots brought me back to my old happy self. Thanks Nikonites for expecting me to get a shot(s) for today.

I think you are wrong. The lighting is great. The way the setting sun hits the deer is wonderful. Really accents the deer.

Robin on Barbed Wire.jpg
Last night I watched a tutorial about using lines and repetition. I tried to frame these robins to fit those rules of photography. How did I do?

I like the Birds on the Wire. The only niggle I have is the leading lines lead me straight to the 2 birds together. But they are the ones most out of focus. Maybe if you get a chance to shoot it again make the furthest birds in focus and the closest out of focus.

I agree Deezy. If the focus was on the two birds instead of the one, it would be a better shot. I actually didn't even see the two birds when I shot this. I only noticed them when I was processing it.

Nice shot! But unfortunately your subject is facing away from the camera. Its all about the eyes! ;D

That is so true Doug. I got other shots of this statue, but none of them looked good to me. The statue actually has a boy in it also. My problem was that I couldn't get a good shot of the statue without the messy background of a city street. I will certainly try this one again. Thanks for the help in making me a better photographer.
