Weekly Challenge Sep 3 - Sep 10: Recreation

OK, so I got my first lens for my D610 finally and today was the first day I got out and shoot with a Nikon. Was a little different to what I'm used to and there are some things I instantly love about it and other things that I miss from my old gear. Anyway I used this weekly challenge to find some inspiration and thought of the crazy people in the photo below that make the trek up the main road near my house to the hills that await not far from where I live. Not my idea of recreation, but they seem to like it.

Still trying get my head around the new gear, but I wanted to get something in this week and I'm running out of time ;)

First post in a challenge thread, let me know if i need to correct anything!

I call it, "Selfie on a Stick!" In honour of the Minnesota State Fair (where everything, even salad, is served on a stick).

Busy week and weekend leaves us short on recreation time, but did manage another nice afternoon with the family walking the nature trails. Wrong time of day for much wildlife to be out, but it sure was nice outside and all those smiles are worth it every time.

ugh - showing up as an attachment from my work comp. should i resubmit from home later to show the exif?

Try editing, Go Advanced, Manage Attachments and see if it will let you insert inline.

I recognize the kids, but...... Must have had a Avatar facelift and identity shift.
