This week's contest is officially closed. Thanks to everyone who submitted an entry!

As a member of the Weekly Photo Challenge Team, I will tally up all of the likes and post the top 3 entries for voting in a new thread. If there is a tie for third most liked, there will be more than 3 included in the vote.

Look for the next weekly challenge to be posted soon!

I thought once the voting was closed there would be a bit of time for people to get a chance to click likes for the photos... Mine was posted on time, but no chance for anybody to even vote... :( Not that mine is exceptional... just saying that there should be a 1-2 day window for voting after the final buzzer for posters.

We've kicked around the cutoff timing, and I suspect it will change, but these first two weeks started with the midnight cutoff for both, which is why we emphasized both weeks not to wait til the last minute to enter a pic. PArt of the mix is creating the Top 3 poll at the end requires some time or we end up with a weekly challenge taking a month to complete.
@Pretzel beat the buzzer by milliseconds, or possibly nanoseconds, so he in boat with you.

Our apologies as we work to improve the challenge format.

No real worries... My fault for lagging behind.

Maybe if you left 2 days after closing for people to click their "likes" and open voting on the saturday to be closed on sunday night. And post a reminder about the "likes" every day from thursday to friday. This would give last minute posters a chance to get "likes".

I agree. This way people can see all the entries at once and vote for their favorites.
Also if I may make a suggestion. Maybe limit the likes for each "liker".;) Lets say you can only give 4 likes maximum. Some people throw around "likes" like they grew on trees or something. :p

I don't think the likes system has that level of control. I'm 90% certain that granularity exists with the polling system! but that has it's own challenges as well.

Still good feedback, so we can see what the current forum limitations are and understand how we are working within those...
