Wow! I'm glad everyone is so excited about the topic I came up with. Usually, I do not take part in competitions I set the topic for, but I might make an exception this time.

Just to confirm: yes, it is central axial symmetry I had in mind. Left and right halves of the image should mirror each other.

This challenge does not involve axial symmetry, but just symmetry; one half is a mirror or near mirror image of the other half.

The term axial symmetry indicates a symmetry that rotates around an axis. The sample images posted in #1 and #2 are symmetrical, but would not be if rotated about an axis.

This jar (which contains hot pepper jelly) is axial symmetric around the vertical axis as it sits on the horizontal plane of the floor.

This is a photo showing axial symmetry of the hot pepper jelly jar (say that 5 times real fast) (excepting the stamped number and shadow on the lid)

My apple ogies for the cell phone photos, but I was after some quick sample images and not so much artistic excellence.

I think I should win for effort put in for this picture :) although my house of cards is not a perfect triangle, a triangle is symmetry

I was going to make the picture black and white, then while I was adjusting the colour and brightness got this picture

I will call it "Time and patience"

There is a musical instrument museum near my house where I found this interesting harmonica.
EDIT: it actually is radially symmetric, I guess each one is a different key?
