Day 17. Jan. 17, 2014

Ok,friends. I'm doing two things I've never tried. Shooting RAW, and then converting to post here. And, shooting the moon. All the way home from work I saw that big bright moon and told myself to try it. So, here it is. Can you post RAW pictures here? I wasn't sure because the file size is HUGE!

No you can't post RAW images as browsers cant display them. You can only post jpeg, gif, png I think.

The moon shots look out of focus. Were you using auto or manual focus?

There was a very light fog out that was causing me issues. That was the best I could get in either manual or auto focus.

Yep! I found that out too! Cannot get good crisp photos of the moon if the sky isn't nearly 100% crystal clear.

Very good shots of the moon. Can you post your EXIF information? I am still trying to get a good shot of the moon. Thanks :)

As some of you may remember. I bought a Lowepro slingshot 101. Bad idea! Way too small for my needs. Today,my slingshot 302aw arrived. Much better. Plenty of room. I like how it swivels around to allow you easy use of grabbing your camera. I have my Tamron 18-200mm mounted on my camera and it fits just fine. I can also have my 300mm on the camera with no problem as well. Good buy at around 80.00 and I recommend it.

Re: Weebee's 365 thread

I picked up the 202AW and was thinking about returning it and ordering the 302AW online or maybe the kata 33 but then I picked it up with the stuff I could fit in it and realized I'm a wuss and if it was much heavier I just wouldn't want to carry it so stuck with the 202. 302 looks nice and roomy Congrats

I was looking at the 202aw as well. But I wanted to make sure I had plenty of room. I have a smaller pack I'll use if I'm going on longer hikes.

Anybody remember these radios? I had one as a kid. Now I pick them up if the price is right.

My new quick release system came in. Now my tripod and mono-pod have the same set up for easy switching.

Re: Weebee's 365 thread

I have an old tripod that needs a service I think. I tried some HDR the other day and the photos didn't quite line up so I think it needs a bit of tightening or to be sold and replaced (best option) but I am low on money!
