Day 196/365
Red Tail Hawk at 1440mm kind of grainy. But still looking into ways of cleaning that up. And the corn is growing like crazy.

how are you liking the new camera steve? dont forget to add it to you sig.

It's not a bad camera. Nice enough features. And the reach is excellent. The only down side is that at extreme range this thing focuses quite slowly. Which is maddening if you compare it to a DSLR. I haven't tried the moon or birding features yet.But the you tube videos sure look good. The burst mode is fast. The A and S mode is a nice touch on this camera. For what I paid for it I'm very pleased. This is a great option for getting the extreme range shots on a budget. Though, I'll be happy when I get the Tamzooka. Which isn't out of the question yet!

Steve do you use photo shop and did you know you can open jpegs in ACR by choosing open as.

I've been using LR and another program I can't remember the name of at the moment. I have photo shop on my laptop but it is a old version and I never warmed up to it. I;ll have to try opening them in ACR. Does that give you more flexibility with processing?

I find in acr if i click auto i get a better result some times straight away, other times i adjust the sliders a bit,if you open photoshop then choose open as change the file type in the box to raw it will open in acr.

Day 204/365
Loving the 40mm micro for flowers and other things. But not for insects. Lined up on a spider by bracing my hand along a fence and got bit by another I didn't see. Oh well, at least it wasn't a 5 pounder like the ones at @Scott Murray plays around with
