Web Site Question!?

I have the premium which is $120 a year. I found a coupon code at the time which brought it down to $80. The important part is the domain name. By getting the domain name you do not have zenfolio in your web adddress. A lot easier to remember rmillsphotography.com than having to have zenfolio mixed in with it. The Domain name cost $13.99 at godaddy. Nothing about it that I would change.

Rick, thank you for sharing... That was a lot of good info and I appreciate it. They have a lot of available options and so far I have found it to be the nicest layout.

have a great day!

Almost at all times Zenfolio is compared to Smugmug?
Am sure you would have checked these out before taking a plunge into zenfolio..
What are you thoughts?

I looked at both, they are similar. I found the site design on zen to be better, but it is a matter of personal taste and I'm sure smugmug users are happy too. I really like the way they handle the transaction and send me a detailed breakdown of the sale. Will be easy at tax time and they will just send me a check or direct deposit my profit. Make sure you are registered in your state to collect and pay sales tax. The only other thing you need in NY is a county issued certificate of business. This makes all of my gear tax deductable along with the cost of the site.

Thanks Rick... A noobie question, how does the 'sale' actually work?
Would it be from your clients who visit your page or is there as showcase or social kinda thingy like in 500px & smugmug?

Anyone can buy from the general website, zen processes the CC and transaction. I can also set up private galleries (password protected)for clients (private shoots)which they can buy directly from also.

Built mine myself. I bought a domain from godaddy for a few bucks. And I am using a free hosting site for the website and photobucket for the images.
