I have bought a domain name and I am interested to hear which web hosting companies those of you with websites use.

I have used Dynalink Solutions for the last 10+ years. You really should check them out. They are like $7 a month and I have a gig of storage space and God only knows how much bandwidth. I never even come close each month. Their customer service is top notch too. I use MS FrontPage to do my web design and it publishes flawlessly to their servers.

I used to manage a Web Hosting company. They sold out to an Indian Firm and went to pot. I tried several companies after that and finally found Green Web Hosting From HostPapa - America?s Best Web Hosting Provider. a couple of years ago. Their uptime has been great and when problems have come up which will happen with all companies they have been quick to respond and fix the problem. Sometimes even when I was the one to screw up. I presently host 7 domains there in one of their reseller plans. Not sure what kind of site you want ot build but they have something called Softaculous which is an auto installer for many of the most popular CMS systems and even has a few photo album scrips.

I bought a domain too through go daddy... Yeah yeah I heard about what the owner of go daddy did but only later.
Anyhow, my website hosting is through blue host..
I did a lot of research and checked the options like photo ready sites like smug mug and Zenfolio. They are good but would be limiting if you planning to do anything more.
